We crafted our first cedar hot tub nearly a quarter-century ago. Since then, we’ve shipped over 1,000 Forest Cooperage products to customers around the globe. Every one reflects a commitment to quality that begins with the materials we use and the methods we apply. We handcraft our wooden barrel hot tubs in the traditional cooperage style of construction; a method that has been utilized for hundreds of years in creating wine vats, water cisterns, and barrels.
Lorne; Forest Cooperage’s proud owner
In contrast to other manufacturers, we choose only vertical grain Western Red Cedar for our hot tub floors and side staves to ensure a strong seal and long life. Vertical grain is much more stable than flat grain. The next time-consuming step is the patient kiln drying that prepares the wood for the construction of our beautiful Cedar Barrel Hot Tubs, Saunas, Soaking Tubs and Cisterns. Final assembly captures the wood staves with four superior quality stainless steel hoops. In comparison to other manufacturers, the addition of an extra hoop ensures the best seal possible.Heating
We base our business on sustainability. We adhere to and advance the goals of the Forest Stewardship Council and the Rainforest Alliance. Our dedication to conserving wild lands and wild life while protecting forest workers and their communities drives everything we do. Even material waste from our operations is purposed for other uses to the greatest extent possible. Our Company
