Our cistern tanks are crafted in Western Red Cedar, and complement any landscape with beauty and function. We are proud to offer these tanks in a variety of sizes to suit your specific rainwater needs.

Our cisterns are available with 40mm thick drinking water grade polypropylene liners, and can last more than 30 years.

Forest Cooperage cisterns are real barrels. Both the side and the floor are made of only the finest top quality, 1 9/16″ thick, kiln dried, 100% heartwood Western Red Cedar. The floor is supported by 4×4 cedar chine joists on 16″ centres. This cedar base elevates the cistern sides 1 1/2″ off the ground allowing proper air circulation under the floor.

The hoops are made from long lasting stainless steel flat bar. All the hardware is corrosion resistant.

The cisterns come with a modular roof design that are easily transported and installed. The roof panels are supported by a central aluminium hub which also provides ventilation. All vents are screened to keep out birds and insects.

Our wooden water cisterns have heavy 40 mm flexible polypropylene liners, custom made in California, with a life span of 20 years when properly maintained. These liners are drinking water approved.

Our wood water cisterns can be easily shipped in a pickup truck or a boat to remote locations. Two people can carry and setup the numbered pieces, even on rock bluffs and uneven ground.

Unlike conventional plastic tanks, our cisterns are attractive structures which add beauty and value to your landscape.
